Diggers Rest Family Retreat

When it comes to searching for a house to buy, the first place we go to look is somewhere like realestate.com.au to start creating a short list. As a seller, having your home professionally staged means that your listing is stands out above the rest (especially for those empty houses) and will capture people's attention, making your house first on their list for open for inspections. When visiting your property, potential buyers form an emotional connection and can envision themselves making your house their home.

Our client built a new house in Diggers Rest and wanted to sell. Rather than displaying empty rooms that convey no emotion, our client wanted to show the full potential of their newly built, 4 bedroom family home, and to do this, they had it styled by us.

Artwork - Cooper Black

Linen - Pottery Barn

The master bedroom, although a little smaller than most, was styled to open the room up and to create the illusion of a larger space.  Generous pillows and over-sized artwork hung above the bed tied all the pieces in the space together.

The other bedrooms in this home were of a good size. With the likely buyer having a family of varying ages, we wanted to show the potential of the rooms for families with children of all ages.

One room was styled with a double bed and two bedside tables, and the others with single beds and storage. Each room showed the prospective buyers the potential of the bedrooms. Whether the buyer had adult children or young children the space would work for either.

With white CesarStone bench tops and white subway tiles, this kitchen was very neutral. To style this space, we added some natural timber accents, some greenery and some slight pops of blue to tie in with the open plan living area.

The simple open living and lounge area was styled with a beautiful, luxurious rug to define and set off the area . We incorporated pops of blues to tie in with the kitchen and meals area.

Feature artwork and mirror side-tables were by Flower World.

This empty house was transformed into a stylish family home where potential buyers could visualise themselves living in the home and form emotional connections to it, therefore creating a stronger influence to purchase the home.

This home was sold by One Agency, Sunbury. Take a look at how the styling of this property shows the potential of the home to the buyers online. Property staging can quite often result in a higher sale price, and quicker sell time compared to those that are not styled.
