My AusMumpreneur Nomination

I feel so honoured to have been nominated for an AusMumpreneur Award for 2019. This year is the first year that I have been nominated for this award and I am truly grateful to have been given the opportunity to run against some incredible biz mums in Australia -what an honour!

Being a Mumpreneur is something that I have an incredible amount of pride in. There are two things that I am most proud of in my life. First and foremost, being a mother to my two gorgeous children and second is my business - Love It Styling. Let me tell you, Love It Styling is the essence of everything that I am passionate about.

Love It Styling was inspired and created quite naturally. Although the journey took nearly ten years to come to fruition, it was a worthwhile wait. Together with my husband Troy (from Love It Landscaping), we have transformed over ten houses over the last decade. Renovating them and very meticulously styling them to achieve a favourable sale price. Styling has been something that has come so naturally to me combined with my experience of over a decade flipping houses and the passion that runs through me and drives me, naturally formed the beginning of Love It Styling. Although my business began in the property market, it has since branced out into many facets of styling, from wedding and corporate events to renovation and new build styling consultations. This passion and joy makes waking up and going to work an utter joy.

Another one of my passions is giving back to the world that we live in, helping our community near and far and leaving the world a better place for our future generations. One of our greatest achievements by far has been the fundraising work that we have passionately done for Miracle Babies Foundation. As you may or may not know, our lives were utterly changed by the birth of our three premature children, two of which are alive and well today. Without the help and support of incredible organisations like Miracle Babies Foundation, we don’t know where we would be today! This has been a drive and a passion that both my husband and myself have pursued endlessly to ensure that we can give back and support such a worthwhile organisation. To date, we have raised over $33,000 for Miracle Babies. (You can read more about our journey here.)

Through the growth of Love It Styling, it has allowed us to support many worthwhile charities and causes in our local and greater community. It is my hope that the work we continue to do will have a ripple effect that will echo throughout the generations. That the lives of many will be changed for the better. We are currently working on The Bereavement Room at The Royal Women’s Hospital to give families a place of comfort and security through the difficult times in their life in the hospital. We are also currently putting together a community wide fundraiser for a local drop in program for at risk children in our area. Other charities and organisations we support can be found here.

This year I have been nominated for the AusMumpreneur Making A Difference Award. This people’s choice award is recognising our extensive fundraising and charity work that we do in our community. In particular, for Miracle Babies Foundation.
