AMP Wellness Center
/When we were approached to style the brand new AMP Wellness Center we accepted with pleasure. Built by MacCormack Associates, this fit-out boasts large relaxing open spaces, a mirrored wall and feature wooden screen dividers. The perfect space for a wellness center.
With a lot of concrete in the space and surrounds, we wanted to soften the look and provide warmth to the area and avoid that common clinical and industrial feel that concrete and large open spaces give. We custom designed and installed one of our stunning greenwalls to achieve this. Our Greenwalls are a brilliant, low-maintenance way to bring the outdoors in. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor usage, our greenwalls are high-quality and are totally customisable to suit any space. We opted for a round greenwall to tie in with the other circular shapes throughout the space, from the round table and over head light to the stunning blush circular sink.
Rather than having a typical clinical and boring change room, we opted to create a stylish, soft and gender neutral space. We used oversized wood framed mirrors to create warmth with circular timber hooks on the walls to carry the timber element throughout the space, both softening the space and providing functionality. The artwork chosen for the change rooms are gender neutral for both male and female clientele who will be using the center, and provide a point of interest in the space. Cushions were selected to tie in the look and feel of the room as well as provide comfort.
The foyer area was designed with a small seating area for those who are waiting for their classes in soft greys and a subtle blush pink to tie in with the subtle pinks throughout the center. Greenery was also added in an elevated pot to bring life to an otherwise clinical space. Rose Gold hooks were added for both style and functionality.
The stunning open shelving designed and built by MacCormack was subtly styled to create a soft, homely feel. Various decor items were selected to provide character and detail to the space. Woven baskets provide texture as well as functionality for those needing to store their personal belongings during classes.
A large table situated under a statement circular light offers a relaxation area and invites communication and fellowship with members of the center. A quality woolen rug was used under this table to soften the concrete space and to provide a natural sound buffer to limit echos and noise so as to not disturb and distract from the classes.
Various greenery in over-sized circular pots was been added throughout the complex to carry through the circular theme in a way that provides softness and warmth. Hanging baskets were used on the main wall to provide a point of interest without interfering with the classes in operation.
